If you're planning a trip to Udo Island in Jeju, make sure to put Haekwang Sikdang on your must-eat list. We recently visited Udo by ferry from Seongsan Port, and instead of bringing our car onto the island, we opted to rent a bicycle and a small electric car after arrival. It’s actually a popular choice—many travelers explore the island this way since Udo is relatively compact and easy to get around.

🚗 Getting There & Parking

We didn’t bring our own vehicle onto the ferry, but if you do, that’s also possible. Alternatively, once on the island, you can easily rent a bike or a small electric car. As for parking, there are parking spaces right in front of Haekwang Sikdang or nearby along the beach, which is super convenient.

🍜 Signature Dish: Sea Snail, Abalone & Seaweed Noodle Soup (₩14,000)

The restaurant’s signature dish is Sea Snail, Abalone, and Seaweed Noodle Soup, and it was absolutely delicious. The rich, ocean-flavored broth filled with fresh bo-mal (sea snails), tender abalone, and seaweed (tot) made the soup incredibly hearty and comforting. The noodles had the perfect chewiness, making this a very satisfying lunch.

🍚 Don’t Miss: Sea Urchin Bibimbap (₩20,000)

Another standout was the Sea Urchin Bibimbap, a local specialty that’s hard to find this fresh elsewhere. The uni (sea urchin) was creamy and naturally sweet, with no fishy taste at all. Served over warm rice and topped with seaweed, sesame oil, and soy sauce, this dish delivered the true taste of Jeju’s ocean in a bowl.
